Nina Dibner!

Nina Dibner!

Nina (she/her) wears a lot of hats at PowerTools. As Executive Director, she takes care of most of the “behind the scenes” elements of running the business (finance, management, marketing and making magic.) As Founder, she makes time for her favorite part of the work: facilitating, consulting and coaching directly with clients. Whether running stress management sessions with youth, leading corporate workshops on Unconscious Bias, or acting as a thought partner to a school leader, Nina brings her passion for equity, personal power, and a strength- based approach to her work.

Nina's expertise stems from her 13 year career as a public school teacher in Minneapolis and Brooklyn.  During her teaching tenure, she also served four years as a high school Advisory Coach.  In 2006, Nina  founded Dibner Consulting Services (DCS),  an educational consulting firm that merged her passion for equity, change management and social emotional learning.  DCS' sustained success and growing client base led Nina to expand her scope and consultant team under her new company, PowerTools, LLC. Nina now oversees a stellar team of consultants and employees, manages increasingly complex projects and continues to work directly with clients including youth. She has extensive experience facilitating workshops, retreats and corporate trainings.

Nina collaborated with lead author, Tricia Taylor to publish Connect The Dots: The collective power of Relationships, Memory and Mindset in the Classroom, released in December, 2019 . She was the recipient of the "Walter N. Rothschild, Jr "Teacher of the Year Award" in 1999, has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota. Nina is a certified DISC practitioner and a member of Inclusion Allies Coalition.
