Arthur Brum, M.F.A, Youth Development Consultant  

facilitates PowerTools youth programs where he links art and activism as a natural spark for student enthusiasm and engagement. Arthur’s extensive history of teaching both youth and adults has roots while earning his MFA at Yale. There, Arthur worked as a Gallery Teacher to youth veterans with visual disabilities. Arthur career as an art educator includes his tenure at HiArt!, Time in East Harlem, and Brooklyn Brainery and NYU’s PI Art Center. When not working with PowerTools, Arthur currently teaches art to union workers at the Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Center for Labor Studies, at Empire State College in New York City.  Arthur’s areas of expertise includes art education, youth development, facilitation,  and student-centered learning.
