Carl Jackman, MSW, Youth Development Consultant    

is a social worker with extensive expertise in the area of youth development. Carl leads youth empowerment groups and has designed peer-mentoring programs for PowerTools' schools.  In his role as a Coordinator of Volunteers and Interns at the Staten Island Children’s Museum for the past 13 years, Carl has coordinated numerous internship programs, developed and presented character education workshops, and has trained and supervised over one thousand volunteers. Carl also serves as a social worker at the Brooklyn Frontiers High School and during the summers he mentors youth and co-facilitates international trips for youth that focus on empowerment and cultural awareness. Carl’s expertise includes case management, career and college readiness, character education, crisis management, counseling, facilitation, gender equity, mentoring supervision peer mentoring, and youth development.
