Lauren Kelly Benson, Director of Equity

Lauren Kelly (they, themme) is our new Director of Equity! In this role, Lauren Kelly works with the PowerTools team to design our offerings, manage our equity contracts, facilitate sessions, and coach leadership. Lauren Kelly’s stellar facilitation is infused with a healing-centered and anti-oppression lens. Lauren Kelly works with both adults and youth in the areas of restorative justice, anti-racism, culturally responsive practice, wellness, yoga, mental health, leadership, and social emotional learning.

Lauren Kelly knows PowerTools in and out. Their first position at PowerTools was as Executive Assistant, and then they transitioned to PowerTools’ Director of Innovation. Now as Director of Equity, Lauren Kelly continues to plays a key role in helping PowerTools grow in our understanding of anti-racism, anti-oppression and white supremacy culture.

Lauren Kelly is the founder of the Black Wellness Collective and Aditi Flow and Creative Wellness. Bringing yoga, meditation, and music education to black and brown youth and schools, mothers, activists, and artists, Aditi Flow is designed to expand access to the healing modalities that Lauren loves.  Lauren Kelly has years of experience teaching all ages from baby through the elderly, and has volunteered teaching yoga to incarcerated youth on Riker’s Island.
