Lisa Cureton!
Lisa Cureton works as a lead consultant at PowerTools. That means that you will find her involved in a wide range of PowerTools’ services due to her expertise in consulting, coaching, leadership development and facilitation. Lisa’s latest projects with PowerTools include executive coaching, and workshop facilitation with BlocPower, an environmental technology company. As a certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) facilitator, Lisa has worked with clients, supporting Effective and Equitable teaming and working environments (see our corporate consulting page for more information). Lisa also partners with schools to design and support Social Emotional (Academic) Learning programs such as Advisory, she facilitates workshops with youth, and she supports PowerTools’ strategic planning and program design.
Based in Washington DC, Lisa has spent decades working nationally with schools and organizations/businesses in the areas of Advisory, Equity, effective teaming, leadership development, social emotional learning, and youth development. Lisa has been facilitating, consulting and coaching for the past 19 years with Hope Organization, Engaging Schools, Innis Associates and School Readiness Consortium. Her focus on Youth Development includes urban early childhood through high school supports such as sound leadership, mentorship and guided discipline. Lisa has operated as both an Educational Consultant and an Organizational Development leader, working with urban school districts in Chicago, Syracuse, Binghamton, Washington, DC, Atlanta and Austin to develop effective learning environments and skillful leadership, classroom and school-wide discipline from early education through high school.
