Opportunity at a Glance: How does trauma affect a student’s brain and behavior — and how can we support them to feel safe, build resilience, and succeed both emotionally and academically?  During this full-day, hands-on workshop, educators will explore de-escalation techniques, emotional regulation, and self-awareness strategies for managing classroom dynamics.  Through case studies, reflection exercises, and practical tools, participants will learn to rebuild trust, manage challenging behaviors, and create a safe, trauma-sensitive classroom. 

Participants will walk away with a concrete action plan to integrate trauma-informed care into their practice and 6 CTLE credits for eligible staff.
