Vicki Aubin, APPC, Student Support Coach

Vicki Aubin is a Student Support Coach at Power Tools and a seasoned career services professional, dedicated to helping people navigate career change and become empowered owners of their career development. 

Having supported 1,000+ individuals in launching, growing or changing careers (including 12 years in HR and recruiting at Fortune 500 companies like Goldman Sachs, Deloitte and Morgan Stanley) and hands-on know-how as a career changer herself, Vicki has 3 decades worth of personal experience and perspective on the dynamic shifts in global recruiting and employment.

Having watched the job market evolve as she has, Vicki leverages her firsthand experience and specialty skills as a Competitive Advantage Coach and Personal Branding Strategist to equip her clients with the self-awareness, communication skills and savvy to convey their most marketable strengths with confidence and successfully stand out in today’s fast moving, tech-driven global job market, becoming an employer's clear choice.

Of her career highlights Vicki spent 6 years on the Career Coaching team at The Flatiron School, where she played a key role in the expansion and optimization of their job readiness training program, while supporting several hundreds of students in transitioning to new careers in tech (software engineering, data science, cyber engineering, UX/UI). During her tenure Vicki managed the School’s Web Development Fellowship Career Coaching program (a partnership with NYC Tech Talent Pipeline) and served as Senior Manager of Data Science Career Coaching, where her work drove a 96% employment rate during COVID. 

Vicki has most recently been leveraging her talents at Mandarin Consulting International (supporting international college students in their personal and professional development) and Careerminds (supporting diverse workforce populations impacted by job loss). In previous roles she has served as Career Coach at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development, as well as Interview Coach at NYU Stern and Rutgers Business Schools. Vicki graduated from the University of Hartford with a B.A. in Mass Communications and spent her early career in the music industry. She is proudly certified as an Applied Positive Psychology Coach (APPC).

When she's not working, you can find Vicki in a K-Pop dance class, hiking, watching vintage films, crafting or enjoying a cup of freshly steeped tea.
